I’m always working on something. Since I’m not in a screenwriting class at the moment, I’ve been trying to work on some of my novels.
It’s never just one, either.
I have a vampire romance about a girl in college whose best friend falls in love with a vampire, and she ends up finding out that she’s the soulmate of a vampire prince. It’s called The Devoured.
I’m also working on a romantasy novel called The Bonded Series about a young woman at a magic school who has a soulmate, but her soulmate is a guy that’s in love with the prince and the whole royal family is using her to conspire to keep it quiet.
And recently, I started a romance novel about a young woman who gets a new roommate only to discover he’s a serial killer who is using her to be his alibi. I don’t have a title for that yet.
And that doesn’t include the script ideas that I have.
I can’t say for sure what makes me think something is more suited for one medium then the next, but it’s more so just a feeling. Sometimes I want to explore stories in a more in-depth way, and novels can do that in a way that scripts can’t sometimes.
Hopefully, I’ll get to a place to where I’ll be able to do both. Either way, I enjoy telling stories, and it doesn’t matter what medium they’re in. I just like getting them out there.
With love,
Diana
