I’m a 35-year-old college student. My memory index is kind of warped from trauma, which means sometimes I only remember certain things. I was never a bad student, but I wasn’t exactly a serious one either. I had it in my head that I was going to be a writer, so I never really focused on my grades or anything. I had subjects I was good at, subjects I was bad at, and that was that.
But I got Honor Roll and as someone who has been struggling feeling like an adult at work and in life, something about that was a nice reminder that I actually am good at things.
It might not be the things that most people think are important, but I do have strengths. And so does everyone else too.
With love,
Diana
