This is our American Tax Dollars at work,
a pretty penny for the stormtroopers to hurt
our friends, family, and neighbors
Your tax dollars at work,
arresting a 5-year-old in a blue bunny hat,
but you wouldn’t vote blue,
because you were worried about how a woman would do,
maybe because you were worried someone would actually
stop you from putting bruises on the ones around you,
and everyone is nostalgic for 2016,
that was the year I stopped having friends,
started anti-depressants, I was so blue
because you’ll do anything but look beyond you,
couldn’t sleep last night,
because I was haunted by a little boy and his bunny hat
it was blue, too
