I love Mexican food

and sugar skulls

I get excited when I hear different accents

I like watching flamenco dancing

and had pinatas at my birthdays

and watched the Selena movie a million times as a kid

and got excited when I would hear her songs on the radio

When I needed a place to stay, one of my Mexican friends at work

took me in,

no questions asked

When I grew up, I was in California

but I could see the lights of Tecate from my house

I love all parts of America

especially the different cultures here
