I started making skits! Do I feel absolutely crazy doing it? Yes, but the little former theater kid in me is having a lot of fun. I’ve been improvising scripts and editing together clips from the game.
I did a thirty minute Get Fit with Rick workout today.
I almost filmed myself working out, but I’m not confident enough for that yet. I couldn’t get past how I looked. I’ve always been overweight, but I gained more when I was working from home doing COVID.
I also joined a serial novel website again! AlphaNovel publishes serial dramas online and they have one of those vertical drama apps they adapt their books into. I’m excited about working with them.
No one really talks about working with these websites, but I’ve won a few contests through them and earned some money over the years. But I grew up learning you weren’t an author unless you were “traditionally published”. That’s changed with the internet, obviously, but that was the mindset in the 90’s and the 2000s even.
I started serial publishing underneath my real name in 2018. I decided for work purposes (and for my own sanity) to use a penname. Also, my name isn’t one that’s easy to remember. Diana Crescent is easier to remember. I’ve gone through a few different versions before settling on this one.
Plus, I was writing a contemporary royal romance series at the time (don’t worry, it always ended with the Prince giving up the throne and running off with the girl). But I was getting my associate’s degree in political science at the time, and the more I learned about government, the less enamored I was with writing that series. And the platform I was using was new and I wasn’t too confident in them.
But in the years since though, there’s been several versions of the serial fiction apps. So, I’m giving it another go.
I’m writing another werewolf romance called The Alpha of Evenfall.
With love,
Diana Crescent
