I was thinking about Cassie again
How when her trial happened, all they could focus on
was the luxury of the life she was in
and that she stayed
no one considered the money and the fear
it took to keep her there
that a drugged-up man with guns and bodyguards
and connections to find her wherever she was
was not an easy man to get rid of
