The first video that came across my For You Page of Delilah Bon on instagram was one of a punk rock woman screaming, “Dead men don’t rape!” a rallying cry of punishing abusers at the highest levels. Next, I saw a post about her using funds from her song to help immigrants in the U.S.

If you look at her website, it’s reminiscent of the y2k futuristic style with the silvery, alt logo and pink flames. Her website describes her music as being #hiphop #alternative #newmetal and punk.

While Pop artists are responding to fascism with tame posts about not supporting ICE on X and not doing much else, or anything, Bon seems so far to be using her art to call out systemic violence against women while at the same time proving artists can make a profit without selling their soul completely.

You know the world is angry when punk is back and punk has taken form in Delilah Bon again.
