Recently, Infold released part of Sylus’s backstory where he was a fiend. A fiend is a being that is demonic in nature and associated with evil. In the story line, MC, who is a mage in Philos that has been reincarnated, awakens him so she can gain access to information from her past.

Specifically, a book of poetry that might also be magic. The two have to go to an auction together and try to get it back. There’s a lot of snarking and eventually, MC gets what she wants.

It’s very reminiscent of one of their early stories in the main storyline when they are looking for the protocores. While I was hoping for vampire Sylus, fiend Sylus does fit the vibe too.

His costume almost reminds me of an extra Halloweeny Lestat.

What I love is that a lot of MCs personality gets revealed. While she’s unaware of a lot of things in the main story, this version of MC still had her memories and was as duplicitous as Sylus. It’s fun to watch them playing off of each other.
